Description

Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a beginner friendly course designed to help you understand what AI really is and how it is already part of everyday life. You'll explore simple ideas like how computers learn, try out easy to use AI tools, and see how AI is used in things like apps websites, and online services. No technical experience is needed as everything is explained clearly, at a gentle pace and with plenty of hands on support and discussion along the way.  

What will I learn?
During this course you will develop a basic understanding of AI, including its applications in various industries, fundamental concepts like machine learning and neural networks (explained simply), and ethical considerations. The course is designed to ensure that you will get handson experience with simple AI tools and platforms.

What will I need to take part?
You may choose to bring a notepad and pen to record notes if you would like.

What to expect
This course is delivered in a face to face setting. The course is ideal for anyone with limited understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) currently but holds an interest in the area or is keen to learn more about it for personal or professional growth. Each session will explore different aspects of AI that will deepen your understanding and allow you to leave feeling more confident about how you might be able to utilise it in life or work.

After completing this course you may decide to explore some of the other digital courses hat we have available both around the topic of AI or other areas of digital skills. You may also decide to seek a qualification to help show your digital skills knowledge through one of our accredited skills courses.

Our targeted learning courses are free of charge and support local voluntary and other third sector organisations to develop their capacity to dleiver learning opportunities for their users in community settings. You will need to be at least 19 years old.
