Description

Discover the rich flavours and vibrant traditions of Moroccan cuisine in this hands-on 4-hour introductory cooking workshop. Guided by an experienced tutor, you'll explore the essential ingredients, spices, and techniques that define Moroccan cooking. Learn how to balance sweet and savoury flavours, build depth with spices and prepare simple recipes inspired by home-style Moroccan food. This workshop is suitable for all levels.  

Course aim
Learn how to recognise the characteristics of a Moroccan cookery and cook your very own aromatic Tagine, sumptuous side dish and exotic desert based on simple and easy to follow authentic recipes.

Course outcomes
Recognise and select the spices that are used in preparing Moroccan dishes. Follow the demonstration and the cook your own tagine, tabbouleh and a Moroccan desert.

How will the course be taught?
The course will be a live interactive class, the tutor will discuss Moroccan food and demonstrate the techniques, which the class will carry out for themselves.

What do I need to bring / have ready?
Course instructions, apron, dish cloth, tea towel, paper towel, washing up liquid, pen and paper, ingredients as specified on the recipe, utensils and equipment as specified on the recipe. A list of ingredients will be emailed to learners ahead of the session.
