What will I learn?
During this course you will develop your confidence and skills in Maths with a specific and targeted focus on Time and Measure. This will allow you to confidently progress on to achieve the next level of qualification and/or apply your knowledge, skills and understanding into their workplace environment with increased confidence. The course is designed for those who wish to develop their understanding of Time and Measure related math skills with a view to applying into a work setting or using it as a step towards further qualifications. UKSPF aims to level up the whole of the UK by building pride in place, supporting local businesses and people, and skills.

What will I need to take part?
You may choose to bring a notepad and pen to record notes if you would like.

What to expect
This course is delivered in a face to face setting. This course is a FREE course funded by UKSPF which is designed to develop confidence and skills in adults and learners.

Where can it lead to?
Feeling confident with your academic skills and knowledge is important in many aspects of life including many work-related jobs and communication. Upon completing this course, you will have taken the first step towards a qualification and can lead to further opportunities including applying for a new job, improving your career prospects, supporting children at home or improving your communication skills to improve your home life. By attending this course, you may also find that you are able to progress onto other qualifications including Functional Skills where you could achieve a Level 2 qualification.

Course eligibility and fees
UKSPF is a 1 year programme funded by the Government’s People and Skills aimed at supporting adults to increase their basic skills, life skills and well-being. Those who improve their skills across a range of topics including Maths, English and Computing are more likely to be in employment, have higher wages and better wellbeing. Our free courses are for individuals: • resident in North or West Northamptonshire aged 16 and over • who may want to develop skills for work or progression • that want to brush up and develop their skills for everyday life.
