Description

Join our free 3-week course designed especially for parents and carers and learn how to make healthy, affordable meals that your family will enjoy. Across three friendly, practical sessions, you will discover how to plan family meals that are nutritious and budget-friendly, tips for shopping smart and reducing food waste, simple, tasty recipes the whole family can enjoy and ideas for involving children in healthy eating. This relaxed and supportive course is a great chance to share ideas with other parents, pick up new skills and make healthy eating easier and more affordable for your household. This course is run in partnership with Family Hubs and will take place in the meeting room at Towcester Family Hub (adjacent to Towcester Library).  

Course aim
To find out about healthy eating in a fun way. This course is suitable for all levels.

Course Outcomes
Find out about healthy eating in a fun way. Weighing and measuring ingredients. Find out how to use everyday activities to help children learn at home. Gain new skills, knowledge and confidence in a positive learning environment.

How will the course be taught?
The course will be taught with lots of practical elements including group and pair work.

What do I need to bring/ have ready?
Saucepan or shallow frying pan, chopping board, large bowl, sharp knife, bowls, plates/spoons and resources for week 1 from the parcel given to you.
