Description

This course follows on from Lip Reading/Managing Hearing Loss Part 1. You will continue developing your skills and sharing experiences and knowledge.  

What will I learn?
These courses help individuals improve communication skills, build confidence, and cope with everyday situations where hearing is challenging. They will be able identify why lipreading can be difficult and use this understanding to improve communication. The course will also acquire some basic coping strategies to improve communication along with having a better understanding of managing deafness and hearing loss

What will I need to take part?
Pen and paper. A small handheld or handbag mirror, Handouts will be shared via email and google classroom unless students are not online.

What to expect
Tutors will use practical methods and discussion throughout the class. They use Google Classroom to help make course resources available both during and between sessions. This course is for residents of Northamptonshire aged 19+. Fees are payable on enrolment as published on the booking page. If you are in receipt of certain benefits or in employment and earning a low salary, you could be eligible for reduced fees.
