Description

Continue to develop your speaking and listening skills at intermediate level and learn more about the countrys culture. This course follows on from Culture and Conversation Intermediate Part 1.  

Course aim
To develop and improve existing knowledge of the language by acquiring conversational skills, techniques and etiquette.

Course outcomes
a) Hold a conversation dealing with different situations and some current affairs, in different tenses b) Demonstrate confidence and fluency in communicating, informing and explaining thoughts and ideas c) Do a presentation demonstrating acquired skills d) Demonstrate an appreciation of the customs and culture of the countries where the language is spoken

How will the course be taught?
A communicative approach. All four skills (speaking, reading, listening & writing) are practised, with the main emphasis on speaking. Learners engage in interactive language activities participating in group & pair work. The course will be taught online via Zoom and will be a live interactive class Joining instructions along with unique log in for the session will be emailed to you by our support services team prior to the course start date so please check your email address prior to the class. To take part in the course learners will need: A computer, laptop, phone or tablet connected to the internet and able to view a live video stream.

Could I gain a certificate?
You need a recent GCSE (grade A* - B) or equivalent knowledge of the language (Year 3 level).

What do I need to bring / have ready?
A dictionary, writing materials.
