Description

To enable learners to manage on a basic level encounter with French speaking people and to make them aware of aspects of French culture.  

Course aim
To enable learners to manage on a basic level encounter with French speaking people and to make them aware of aspects of French culture.

Course outcomes
a) Use basic vocabulary on a range of topics such as greetings, directions, booking a hotel room, eating out, travelling, the weather and shopping. b) Use simple sentences to talk about current situations and preferences such as hobbies, favourite countries and music. c) Read and understand simple information, easy short stories and chansons. d) Consolidate essential aspects of grammar such as the tenses, prepositions and negations. e) Discuss typical French behaviour, customs, traditions and culture.

How will the course be taught?
Face-face. Role plays, different scenarios, practice of the four skills (speaking, reading, understanding and writing).

Pen and paper.
