Description

This course is an opportunity to build on your lipreading skills, learn more about coping tactics to improve communication and discuss equipment and services available to you. It is also an opportunity to meet others with hearing loss and share experiences and knowledge.  

Course aim

Course outcomes
1. To identify why lipreading can be difficult and use this understanding to improve communication. 2. To improve confidence in lipreading ability 3. To acquire some basic coping strategies to improve communication 4. To have a better understanding of managing deafness and hearing loss

No.

What do I need to bring / have ready?
Pen and paper. A small handheld or handbag mirror, Handouts will be shared via email unless students are not online.
