Description

Multiply is a 3 year programme funded through the Department for Education aimed at supporting adults to increase their confidence and skills in numeracy. Those who improve their numeracy skills are more likely to be in employment, have higher wages and better wellbeing.

Our free numeracy courses are for individuals:
- resident in Northamptonshire, aged 19 and over
- that have not achieved a maths GCSE of at least a Grade C or equivalent
- who may want to develop numeracy skills for work or progression
- that want to brush up and develop their numeracy skills for everyday life.

Course aim
You will develop some basic maths and cookery skills to enable you to enjoy meals using healthy, seasonal ingredients which can be made again at home.

Course outcomes
a) Use suitable healthy ingredients and understand money saving choices b) Identify techniques and tips when using and learning how to cook with an air fryer. c) Prepare a nutritious and well-balanced meal consisting of protein, carbohydrates, fat, water, vitamins, fibre and minerals. d) Know what learning opportunities are available to enhance your maths knowledge.

What do I need to bring / have ready?
A pen and notebook may be useful if you would like to make notes. You should bring reading glasses if you require them as there will be some paperwork to complete.
