Description

To enable you to cope simply but effectively in situations you will encounter- such as shopping, travel and eating out, accommodations, directions and time - in countries where the language is spoken.  

Course aim
To enable you to cope simply but effectively in situations you will encounter- such as shopping, travel and eating out, accommodations, directions and time - in countries where the language is spoken.

Course outcomes
a) Pronounce words so that they can be understood by native speakers b) Communicate in basic everyday situations c) Demonstrate basic vocabulary and expressions d) Show an appreciation of some of the customs and culture of the countries where the language is spoken

How will the course be taught?
A communicative approach. All four skills (speaking, reading, listening & writing) are practised, with the main emphasis on speaking. Learners engage in interactive language activities participating in group & pair work. The course will be taught online via Zoom and will be a live interactive class Joining instructions along with unique log in for the session will be emailed to you by our support services team prior to the course start date so please check your email address prior to the class. To take part in the course learners will need: A computer, laptop, phone or tablet connected to the internet and able to view a live video stream.

What do I need to bring / have ready?
Writing materials, small dictionary. You may need to buy a course book, the tutor will advise you.
