Course description
To enable learners to manage on a basic level encounter with German speaking people and to make them aware of aspects of German culture.

Course outcomes
a) Use vocabulary on a range of topics such as greetings, directions, booking a hotel room, eating out, travelling, the weather and shopping. b) Talk about current situations and preferences such as hobbies, favourite countries, and music. c) Read and understand information, short stories, and songs. d) Consolidate aspects of grammar such as the tenses, prepositions, and negations. e) Discuss typical German behaviour, customs, traditions, and culture.

How will the course be taught?
Face-face. Role plays, different scenarios, practice of the four skills (speaking, reading, understanding and writing).

What do I need to bring?
Pen and paper.
