To extend knowledge of spices and use wide range of these to develop signature dishes.

Course Outcomes
a) Use a range of spices and describe their uses b) Identify and use already prepared spices. Demonstrate how to store spices to increase shelf life c) Follow the process of vaghar using different spices and methods to produce a tasty curry d) Demonstrate the process in preparation of a variety of dishes using the transferable skills to create your own individual dish e) Use transferable skills in creating your individual curry f) List dishes to put an Indian banquet together

How will the course be taught?
The course will be taught by lecturing, demonstration of key skills, group discussion, individual practice and supervision.

What do I need to bring/have ready?
Course paperwork, apron, dish cloth, tea towel, paper towel, washing up liquid, pen and paper, suitable containers to transport the cooked dishes.
